The first official trailer for the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Doomsday, has debuted online, offering fans a glimpse at the next major chapter in the cinematic saga.
The 90-second preview centers on the return of Steve Rogers, once again portrayed by Chris Evans. The footage shows Rogers on a motorcycle journey, entering a quiet home, and retrieving his iconic uniform before a poignant moment holding an infant. The trailer culminates with a title card confirming, “Steve Rogers Will Return in Avengers: Doomsday.”
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo marked the release with a social media statement, calling the character one that “changed our lives” and noting that the narrative “was always going to come back to this.”
Scheduled as the fifth main Avengers installment, the film will reportedly feature a vast ensemble of characters from across the Marvel universe, including the original X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and members of the Thunderbolts team. Robert Downey Jr. is set to appear as the central villain, Doctor Doom.
Plans for an exclusive theatrical trailer debut were altered following audience feedback and online leaks, prompting the studio to release the footage directly to the public.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated for a global release in mid-December 2026.
